The Institute has a total staff of approximately 950, the majority of whom are professional engineers and scientists with post-graduate qualifications - 35% have a PhD - and several years of consultancy and R&D experience.

DHI's consultancy services combine extensive physical/chemical and biological knowledge using the most advanced tools and technologies available. Projects have been undertaken in more than 140 countries.
Quality, Safety and Environment
All DHI's activities are performed in accordance with its quality management system, which is based on the Institute's objectives and policies and its commitment to quality, as stated in the Quality Manual and associated quality system documentation developed acording to ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and ISO 14001. The Environmental laboratories perform testing accredited by DANAK (Danish Accreditation Scheme) and according to OECD's principles for good laboratory practice (GLP).
