A collaboration between DHI Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University, DHI-NTU Research Centre focuses on cutting-edge research and provision of integrated technology and solutions for the benefit of Singapore's water and environment industry.
Established in October 2007, the DHI-NTU Research Centre is supported by the Environment & Water Industry Development Council (EWI), and affiliated to the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI), which directs and coordinates all research efforts and programmes for cutting-edge R&D of Environmental and Water Technologies in NTU.
Over the next five years, DHI-NTU Research Centre hopes to deliver more than 200 man years in research efforts, train PhD and Masters students and publish more than 10 scientific papers a year, as well as develop new products for the benefit of the water and environment industry.
Key research and technology development areas carried out by the Research Centre includes:
- Industrial Water Management
- Urban Planning and Water Management
- Solid Waste Management
- Environmental Impact Assessment
- Decision Support System
The Centre also conducts post-graduate vocational training courses for professional practitioners employed in the water and environment industry. The courses are intended for individuals or groups of professionals with a specific area of interested, and limited time at their disposal.
