DHI-NTU Water and Environment Research Centre and Education Hub was announced yesterday, under the banner of the Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (Newri).

Established in October 2007, the DHI-NTU Centre is supported by the Environment & Water Industry Development Council (EWI), and affiliated to the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (Newri), which directs and coordinates all research efforts and programmes for cutting-edge R&D of Environmental and Water Technologies in NTU.

Over the next five years, the DHI-NTU Centre hopes to deliver more than 200 man years in research efforts, train PhD and Masters students and publish more than 10 scientific papers a year, as well as develop new products for the benefit of the water and environment industry.
