When to pre-register?
REACH Pre-registration runs between 1 June 2008 and 1 December 2008.
How to pre-register?
During this period
companies may submit a brief set of information to the European
Chemical Agency, ECHA, in order to benefit from the extended
registration deadlines.
Who can pre-register?
- Manufacturers and importers of phase-in chemicals
- Producers and importers of articles with an intended release of phase-in chemicals
- Only representatives of non-EU manufactures who are exporting 1 tonne or more per year to the EU market
Why pre-register?
Pre-registration allows
registrants to benefit from extended registration deadlines from 3½ and
up to 11 years depending on the yearly tonnage level.
If the deadline for pre-registration is not meet the companies must
suspend its activities i.e. manufacturing or placing on the market. The
companies can resume their activities only after a complete
